1. Your Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
As a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your Chemistry Lab membership contract within 14 days of signing up, without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 calendar days from the date you created your Chemistry Lab account and agreed to these terms.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement sent to:

You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this document, but it is not obligatory. Any clear statement of your decision to withdraw is sufficient.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your communication before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.
2. Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw within the 14-day period, we will refund all payments received from you, including your first month’s membership fee, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your withdrawal notice.
We will make the refund using the same payment method you used for the initial transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
Important exception — start of service before withdrawal period ends: If you have expressly requested that we begin providing the Chemistry Lab service before the 14-day withdrawal period has expired (for example, if you completed your intake conversation, received event invitations, or attended an event within the 14 days), you acknowledge that:
You will be required to pay us an amount proportional to what has been provided up to the point you communicate your withdrawal
This proportional amount is calculated based on the total price of the membership and the proportion of service already delivered
In practical terms: if you complete your intake conversation, your profile is created, and you receive an event invitation within the first 14 days, a proportional deduction from your refund will apply.
3. Cancellation After the Withdrawal Period
After the 14-day withdrawal period has passed, you may cancel your Chemistry Lab membership at any time.
How to cancel:
Email hello@chemistrylab.singles with the subject line “Cancel membership” from the email address associated with your account.
When cancellation takes effect:
Your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. For example, if you are billed on the 10th of each month and you cancel on the 20th, your membership remains active until the 9th of the following month.
Refunds after the withdrawal period:
We do not offer pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a billing period once the 14-day withdrawal period has passed. Your access to Chemistry Lab continues until the end of the paid period.
Exception:
If we have materially changed the service in a way that disadvantages you and you cancel within 30 days of being notified of that change, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
4. Downgrading Your Membership
You may downgrade your membership tier at any time. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period. You will not receive a refund for the difference in price for the current billing period.
Upgrades take effect immediately. You will be charged the pro-rata difference for the remaining days of your current billing period.
5. Switching to Alumni Status
If you have found a partner through Chemistry Lab and wish to switch to Alumni membership (€5/month), contact us at hello@chemistrylab.singles. We will arrange the switch with immediate effect and adjust your billing accordingly. Any overpayment for the remaining days of your singles tier will be credited against your next Alumni billing period.
6. Deletion of Your Account
Cancelling your membership is separate from deleting your account and data. If you wish to have your personal data deleted, please make a separate request to privacy@chemistrylab.singles. We will process deletion requests within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
