1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover
Chemistry Lab is an offline-first curated dating and social events platform operated by:

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Chemistry Lab website, platform, membership, and events. By creating a profile, completing the intake conversation, or attending a Chemistry Lab event, you agree to these terms in full.
If you do not agree with these terms, do not use Chemistry Lab.
2. Eligibility
To use Chemistry Lab you must:
Be aged 18 or over
Be a natural person (not a company or organisation)
Be open to romantic connection (Chemistry Lab is not a networking or friendship platform)
Complete the identity verification process before attending events
Not have been previously removed from Chemistry Lab for a violation of these terms
Chemistry Lab is currently available to residents and visitors in Munich, Germany. We are expanding to additional cities in 2027.
3. Membership Tiers and Pricing
Chemistry Lab offers the following membership tiers:
Free — €0 per month
Regular — €15 per month
Premium — €35 per month
Platinum — €65 per month
Platinum Plus — €155 per month
Alumni — €5 per month

All prices are in Euros and include applicable taxes where required.
Membership is billed monthly on the date you first activated your paid membership. For example, if you joined on the 10th of the month, you will be billed on the 10th of each subsequent month.
Chemistry Lab reserves the right to change membership pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing members. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
4. Identity Verification
All Chemistry Lab members must complete identity verification before receiving their first event invitation. Verification is carried out by our trusted partner Didit (didit.me) and involves:
Confirmation that your identity document is genuine
A liveness check confirming you are a real person
Face matching between your document and your selfie
Screening against international sanctions and watchlists
Verification typically takes approximately two minutes on a smartphone. Members who do not complete verification will not receive event invitations.

5. Member Self-Declaration
By creating a Chemistry Lab profile, you explicitly declare and confirm that:
You have no criminal convictions for violent offences
You have no criminal convictions for sexual offences
You have provided accurate and truthful information in your profile and intake conversation
You are genuinely open to romantic connection
Misrepresentation of any of the above constitutes a material breach of these Terms of Use and will result in immediate termination of your membership without refund. In serious cases, particularly regarding safety-relevant misrepresentations, Chemistry Lab reserves the right to report relevant information to law enforcement authorities.
6. Member Conduct
Chemistry Lab events are private, curated gatherings. All members are expected to treat fellow members with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all times — before, during, and after events.
The following behaviour is grounds for immediate membership termination without refund:
Harassment, intimidation, or threatening behaviour toward any member or Chemistry Lab representative
Attending Chemistry Lab singles events while in a relationship (applies to all tiers except Alumni)
Sharing another member’s personal information without their consent
Recording other members at events without explicit consent
Impersonating another person
Using Chemistry Lab for any commercial purpose, including solicitation or advertising
Providing false information at any point, including during the intake conversation
Attempting to circumvent the introduction-only profile system
Chemistry Lab reserves the right to terminate any membership at its sole discretion where member conduct is deemed harmful to the community or the platform’s reputation, even where specific conduct is not listed above.
7. Events — Terms and Conditions
7.1 Invitations
Chemistry Lab events are by invitation only. Holding a membership does not guarantee an invitation to any specific event. Invitations are personal and may not be transferred to another person.
7.2 Attendance
If you accept an event invitation, please notify us as soon as possible if you can no longer attend. Last-minute cancellations affect the experience of other members. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in reduced invitation frequency.
7.3 Couples and relationship status
Members who are in a romantic relationship — including with a person met through Chemistry Lab — may not attend singles events. Access to singles events is automatically revoked when a member updates their status to Alumni. Alumni members may attend designated Alumni events only.
7.4 Photography at events
Chemistry Lab may arrange photography at events for use in our marketing materials. You will be notified in advance if photography is planned at a specific event. You may opt out of being photographed at any time by notifying the event host.
7.5 Safety at events
Chemistry Lab takes the safety of all members seriously. All attendees are identity-verified and have signed the self-declaration in Section 5. However, Chemistry Lab cannot guarantee the conduct of every attendee. Attendance at Chemistry Lab events is at your own risk. Chemistry Lab, its founder, and its representatives accept no liability for any incident, loss, injury, or harm arising from your attendance or from interactions with other attendees, whether during or after an event.
If you ever feel unsafe — before, during, or after an event — contact us immediately at safety@chemistrylab.singles.
8. Introduction System
Chemistry Lab profiles are private by default and cannot be browsed or searched by other members. Profiles become visible only when:
Both members have expressed mutual interest following an event, or
A member has been formally introduced by another member
Introduction rights are subject to your membership tier as set out on our Pricing page. Introduction limits are reset monthly.
Chemistry Lab is not responsible for the outcome of any introduction or connection made through the platform.
9. Alumni Membership
Alumni membership is available to members who have found a romantic partner through Chemistry Lab. Alumni membership costs €5 per month and includes:
Access to designated Alumni events (couples and mixed events)
Introduction rights to bring single friends into Chemistry Lab
Continued connection to the Chemistry Lab community
Alumni members do not have access to singles events. This restriction is system-enforced and cannot be overridden.
Alumni status is self-declared. By switching to Alumni membership, you confirm that you are in a romantic relationship and no longer seeking connection through Chemistry Lab singles events.
10. Cancellation and Refunds

Summary:
You may cancel your membership at any time with no penalty
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
We do not offer pro-rata refunds for unused portions of a billing period except as required by law
The 14-day right of withdrawal is set out fully in our Cancellation Policy
11. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property on the Chemistry Lab platform — including the name, logo, website design, written content, and the Lena and Max AI personas — is owned by Theresa Siek / Chemistry Lab.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any Chemistry Lab intellectual property without prior written permission.
Your intake conversation responses and profile data remain your own. You grant Chemistry Lab a limited licence to use this data for the purpose of providing the matchmaking and events service.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Chemistry Lab is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the platform
Chemistry Lab is not responsible for the conduct, statements, or actions of any member before, during, or after events
Chemistry Lab’s total liability to you in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total membership fees you paid in that period
Nothing in these Terms limits Chemistry Lab’s liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by Swiss law. For disputes with EU consumers, mandatory EU consumer protection law applies regardless of this choice of law clause.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable EU or German law.

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify members by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Chemistry Lab after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
