A few things worth knowing
On events
Membership gives you access to invitations — not a guaranteed spot at every event. We curate each guest list carefully. If you’re not invited to a particular event, it’s because we’re saving you for a better one.
On introductions
An introduction is a personal nomination — you suggesting that two people you’ve met through Chemistry Lab should meet each other. They’re meaningful because they’re limited. Free and Regular members have monthly introduction limits to keep the quality high.
On cancellation
Cancel any time with no penalty. If you find someone through Chemistry Lab and want to move to Alumni status, we make that transition simple. Your data remains yours — you can request deletion at any time under our Privacy Policy.
Questions we get asked
Can I change my tier after joining?
Yes, any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing month.
What happens to my event invitations if I downgrade?
Any events you’ve already been invited to and confirmed are not affected. Future invitations will reflect your new tier.
Is there a joining fee?
No. Your first month’s membership is the only cost to get started.
What does identity verification involve?
Every Chemistry Lab member completes a quick identity check — it takes about two minutes on your phone. We verify that you are who you say you are. Your verification data is handled by our security partner and never stored by Chemistry Lab directly.
What if I don’t get invited to events straight away?
Building the right guest list takes a little time. We’d rather wait for the right evening than invite you to the wrong one. Most members receive their first invitation within two to four weeks of completing their profile.
I found my partner through Chemistry Lab. What now?
Congratulations — that’s exactly what we’re here for. Switch to Alumni membership at €5/month to stay connected, attend alumni events, and introduce your single friends to the community.
